Cancelled Brewery Visit

A Military Career Talk

This meeting will take place at the Abbey Lodge,Woodhall Spa, at 8pm on the 7th October 2008. There is a talk by retired Lt.Col Ian Duncan on a military career. All are welcome and look forward to seeing you there. If you would like a meal, then the Abbey Lodge would be pleased to do one but in order to finish it before the meeting starts then you need to be there for 6.30pm

Rauceby War Years 2009

The Mid Lincs MVT is organising a war weekend at North and South Rauceby, Sleaford, Lincolnshire for August 29th - 30th 2009 with the Ockbrook brass band and entertainer Paul Harper in attendance.It will cover any period. We will be contacting group secretaries and re-enacters and stall holders in the not too distant future.It can only be a success with your help. |

Graham Baxter Obituary

 You'll be sorry to hear that Graham passed away in the early hours of Thursday morning July 10th 2008 after a short Illness of cancer of the Esophagus. Graham will be sadly missed in the MVT,especially in the Mid Lincs MVT area. We wish his wife Sue and his family our deepest sympathy in these sad and difficult times. |

This will take place at the usual place on 6th May 2008 at the Abbey Lodge, Woodhall Spa at 8pm. All are welcome. There will be the usual meeting with a quiz afterwards. This proved to be a great laugh and success last time, so hope you can attend. May I just say that you do not have to own a military vehicle to be a member. It is a free for all who have any interests in the military. We would like you to come along and share your views with fellow enthusiasts.You will be suprised at how friendly we are and what you might learn. |

BBMF Visit

We have once again been lucky enough to obtain another visit to the BBMF on Sunday 13/4/08. Unfortunately we can only accept those people that put their names down on the list which has now been submitted to the RAF police at Coningsby. For those people attending please be outside the main gate at 10.30am prompt. No personal side arms are to be worn but those attached to vehicles will be accepted.Uniforms can be worn so that if you need photo's taken on or in the appropriate aircraft of your choice at least you will look the part. Please bring some form of ID with you. Please do not wear hobnail boots. Thankyou for your participation and hope to see you on the day. |

30th March RAF Digby

This is the day we have been waiting for. The final list has been submitted to RAF Digby for the 90th celebrations of the Ops room and therefore no more entrants can be taken. We need to be there about 9.15am-9.30am at the main gate so as to get setup before the public and veterans arrive. We are going to be wined and dined with the 250 Dignitries from around the world ie, Canada, Poland, Australia etc. Veterans who actually operated the ops room will be showing how it worked. It finishes around 3.30pm. |

16th March Crankup

The final list has now been submitted to RAF Digby for passes to be waiting for us. The event will start at 10.30am at the playing field car park. We have 3 hours to look round the newly furbished Ops room and then onto the Musican Arms pub for lunch. This is also acting as a rehearsal for the 90th celebrations at RAF Digby on the 30th March. I'm sorry but no more entrants can be taken. |

This will take place at the Abbey Lodge, Woodhall Spa as usual but the actual meeting will start after the speaker Jim Shortland giving a talk on 617 Squadron dams raid has finished. He wanted to start at 8pm and talk for about an hour so as to finish early, therefore the meeting will take place about 9.15pm approx. Anybody wishing to come are more than welcome. Depending on how many come their will be a small charge of £3 or less |
